Water Villa Lily is elevated above the water on a lake within the Gilling Old Mill Estate, which itself is tucked away in a quiet corner of the North Yorkshire Dales.

When you arrive, you’ll be blown away by the villa’s incredible location, hovering above the shores of the wonderful lake. The villa has a giant outdoor wrap-around deck that offers the perfect place to unwind whilst taking in your surroundings. Sit out here breathing in the fresh air whilst enjoying a drink and gazing out over the water. There’s even a superb hot tub on the deck, providing you and your loved ones with an opulent way to watch the sun set with a drink in hand.

Stepping inside, you’ll find modern interiors with huge glass doors connecting you to the world outside. The open-plan living area is ideal for socialising with a comfy lounge at one end, where you can relax on the sofas as the modern wood-burner keeps you toasty and warm. There’s also a round dining table here that offers an ideal spot to enjoy delicious feasts with a view. Sliding glass doors also connect you to the spacious deck.

When it comes to meal prep, the modern kitchen is equipped with all the contemporary appliances you’ll need to prepare hearty breakfasts and grand dinners during your stay.

When night falls, Water Villa Lily offers two superb double bedrooms, which have been lovingly designed to provide a peaceful night’s sleep. There are also two luxury shower rooms, with giant walk-in rainfall showers and his and hers basins.

The villa also sits near two scenic fishing lakes, home to carp, tench, bream and more and Mill Lake even boasts annually stocked trout. So you’re more than welcome to try your hand at fishing during your stay.

If you venture further afield, the North Yorkshire Dales offer breathtaking landscapes, charming villages and endless outdoor adventures. Hike rolling hills, explore limestone valleys or discover cascading waterfalls like Aysgarth Falls. Picturesque villages such as Hawes and Grassington boast cosy pubs and local markets. History lovers can visit Bolton Castle or the Ribblehead Viaduct, while foodies enjoy Wensleydale cheese and traditional tearooms.
